Repeat Prescriptions
Our surgery uses a computer system to produce and monitor repeat prescriptions. When a prescription is issued a print-out is attached with a list of your medication. Please use this print out to re-order your prescription the following month. Tick only the items you require and either:
- Drop it in to the surgery.
- Register for the online system - you will need a username and password. A member of the reception team will be happy to help with this.
- Post it enclosing a stamped addressed envelope if you want it posted back to you.
- Please don't contact the surgery to check on prescription progress. If you have chosen chemist your prescription will be with them 48 working hours after ordering or collect from surgery otherwise.
You may be able to arrange for your local pharmacy to collect and deliver your prescriptions. If you wish to use this service you will need to contact your pharmacy directly to discuss this with them.
Please note, we don't accept repeat prescription requests by telephone due to the possibility of mistakes occurring.
Warfarin
All patients on Warfarin have to produce their yellow book before we can issue their prescription. This is following a government safety directive to ensure that patients are being monitored and receiving the appropriate medication. If you cannot produce your yellow book please speak to a receptionist for further instructions.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
